Velvet Morning

You'd think 9 glasses of wine, blood pressure medication and an Ambien would've resulted in a few hours of sleep/passing out. Not so. I need a distraction to get over this ed-obsession. Unfortunately, I recently stopped dating, am on a diet, a strict new budget and still have plenty of cats.

2009: the year of the crack pipe.

I find telling my cats my problems can be pretty helpful. They, like any good therapist, ignore my angst and act like my feelings are insignificant and suggest a solution which they find helpful, ignoring your diet, eating massive amounts of food, and finishing with an epic nap.

The only thing I've been obsessing over lately, is my lack of sleep. No matter what time I go to bed at, I seem to wake up at 5 for no particular reason. No noise, no cat attack, no late night trips to the loo. Just awake. Must be a family thing as my sister has me beat. She's been waking up at 4:30!

Glad you tracked me down!

Kat: *choke, cough, sputter*. I may need more practice...

Loach: my cats aren't as evolved: they keep suggesting a good squirrel hunt.

Deadites: I wouldn't mind the lack of sleep if it wasn't accompanied by puffy, wrinkly, old lady eyes!

Michelle: zombies don't live forever, hopefully!
